For more than 70 years people have been escaping to Lake Creek Lodge to have their family reunite and gather amidst the towering ponderosa pines. With such a beautiful backdrop and with so many warm summer days, it makes for an unforgettable vacation. With 18 cabins we can host a whole passel of you! Our resort is where kids get to be kids again—without the distractions of life at home. No Phones! No TV’s. Instead bring your bikes and head into the woods for a day of wildlife watching; maybe stop along the Metolius River for a nice picnic lunch and on the way back to your cabin stop in at The Camp Sherman Store and get that well deserved ice cream cone.
Take the kids, big and small, down to the Wizard Falls Hatchery to feed the fish and take a tour of the grounds ~ hopefully you’ll catch a glimpse of the Otters sunning themselves on the dock. If you are up for an early morning start, get down to the Hatchery by 8am and you can watch the feeding of the resident eagles.
While in Camp Sherman make sure to drop in and tour The Metolius Preserve project, a 1,240 acre-forest tract setup to protect the wildlife. Situated within a highly diverse forest, the new preserve supports a variety of wildlife including a large herd of elk. Songbirds migrating between Latin America and Canada use the area as a way stop. The preserve also provides varied recreational opportunities.
Maybe you’ll choose to stay a little closer to home. Spend the afternoon up at our heated swimming pool – open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. As the kids play in the pool you can grab that book you have been wanting to finish and relax in one of the Hammocks, maybe even sneak in that mid-afternoon nap!
After a full day of adventure, relax by the creek in the late afternoon sun as the kids entertain you with a little old-fashioned crawdad hunting.
