Metolius River cabin rentals in
Camp Sherman, Oregon
For nearly a century friends and families have been escaping to Lake Creek Lodge to reunite and gather amidst the towering ponderosa pines. With such a beautiful backdrop and 20 cabins it makes for an unforgettable vacation. It is our desire and pleasure to provide you and your family with memories that will last a lifetime.
Our resort is where kids get to be kids again—without the distractions of life at home. Bring your bikes and head into the woods for a day of wildlife watching; stop along the Metolius River for a nice picnic lunch and on the way back to your cabin visit The Camp Sherman Store for an ice cream bar.
Take the kids, big and small, down to the Wizard Falls Hatchery to feed the fish and take a tour of the grounds ~ hopefully you’ll catch a glimpse of the Otters sunning themselves on the dock. If you are up for an early morning start, get down to the Hatchery by 8am and you can watch the feeding of the resident eagles.
Take a bike ride all the way to Suttle Lake through the Metolius Preserve, a 1,240 acre forest and wildlife preserve that supports a variety of wildlife, including a large herd of elk and many species of woodpeckers and migrating raptors and songbirds.
Spend the afternoon up at our heated swimming pool – open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. As the kids play in the pool you can grab that book you have wanted to finish and relax in one of the Hammocks, maybe even sneak in that mid-afternoon nap!
Grab your fly rod and meander up to our beautiful well-stocked trout pond and see if you can hook one of the huge rainbows waiting for just the right fly. After a full day of adventure, relax by the creek in the late afternoon sun as the kids entertain you with a little old-fashioned crawdad hunting.

“I've been going to Lake Creek for a family reunion in august for 10 years and every year I
get the same result: heaven, great food, great recreation, great service, and cozy cabins.”
“The cabins are comfortable, well-furnished and spotless. We are especially grateful that
our dogs are welcome, and we take every opportunity to get outdoors. There is easy access
to hiking trails, national forest land and fly fishing. The staff is terrific and we are always
impressed by the high level of care taken with the property -- we really look forward to
each visit. Lake Creek Lodge is a gem!”
“Everyone was welcoming and friendly including owner, Gordon. My daughter and I love it here. We had deer, geese, squirrels and hummingbirds in our yard. Thanks a bunch.
I cannot tell you the last time I felt this relaxed, calm and content.”
“Our whole family, fifteen of us from 1 to 70 spent almost a week at Lake Creek Lodge.
Day and night there were wonderful things to do for all ages. We hiked, played, swam
and just had wonderful time together. The days were glorious and the nights cool, perfect
sleeping weather. The cabins were close enough for the grownups to enjoy the deck and
watch the kids run and cartwheel and blow bubbles. The highlight of our week was a
dinner on the Lodge deck, prepared by Katie. The adults had time for wine as the kids
played and when we all sat down at the long table to enjoy a delicious dinner, you could
have heard a pin drop and my heart beat with joy.”
