Life at the Resort
Life at Lake Creek Lodge can pretty quiet-which is how most of our guests like it. It’s where the sound of your family laughing drowns out the sound of the phone not ringing! If you’re very quiet, you can hear your priorities rearrange themselves.
The property offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation or just plain relaxation. Shoot some hoops on the basketball court, try your hand at horseshoes, enjoy a game of tetherball or practice your skills at the pool or ping pong tables. For those of you into a more rigorous cardio workout, we would definitely recommend at least one game of foosball - like anybody can play just one game! Of course, there are plenty of comfy chairs and hammocks, or just the soft green grass for that good book or mid afternoon nap.
The tennis courts and the large seasonally heated pool are a great place to benefit from our beautiful sunny summer days. Right out your door you’ll find opportunities for biking, hiking, fly fishing, boating, wildlife viewing, bird watching, and the list goes on.
For the avid fly fisher the world-renowned Metolius River is a thrilling challenge and not more than five minutes from your doorstep. Bird watchers will be amazed by the number of species that call the grounds at Lake Creek and the Metolius Recreation Area home. You don’t even have to leave the comfort of your deck to enjoy this experience.
During the winter season there is still plenty to keep you active and outside enjoying the fresh mountain air. You can cross-country ski or snowshoe right from your cabin door. There are many trails in the Metolius Basin for you to choose from or feel free to blaze your own trail in the Deschutes National Forest. You can, of course, choose to do nothing but sit by the fire, snuggled under a blanket and finish that book you brought along.
Just 15 minutes away you will find the town of Sisters which offers a wonderful variety of locally-owned stores ranging from antiques, art galleries, clothing and much more. Even, take in a movie at the Sisters Movie House.
